Harish meets Maha CM over Kaleshwaram project Hyderabad, May 10 (INN): Telangana Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao called on Maharashtra Chief Minister Devender Fadnavis in Mumbai on Tuesday.
During the meeting, Harish Rao discussed the issue of construction of Kaleshwaram Project on Godavari River. He informed Fadnavis of Telangana Government's decision to expedite the works on Tummidi-Hatti along with Kaleshwaram project. He also discussed the details of MoU to be signed between the two States.
Speaking to media persons earlier, Harish Rao accused the Congress and TDP leaders of shedding crocodile tears on the issue of Rajolibanda Diversion Scheme. He said if the Congress party was really serious, then it should convince its leaders from Andhra Pradesh from opposing Telangana's irrigation projects. He said there was no need for any political party to hold protest or dharna. Instead, he said all political parties should unite to get water for the people of Mahabubnagar district.
