Harish Rao speaks to Karnataka Govt over RDS works Hyderabad, May 20 (INN): Telangana Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao on Friday spoke over telephone to his Karnataka counterpart M.B. Patil requesting him to continue the works on Rajoulibanda Diversion Schemes of Mahabubnagar district.
Harish Rao urged Patil to ignore the complaints being lodged by Andhra Pradesh Government against the RDS project. He said that the AP Government was unnecessarily trying to stop the RDS works. He said that the Telangana Government was trying to get its share of water approved by the Bachawat Tribunal.
It may be mentioned that Kurnool District Collector wrote a letter to Raichur Collector asking him to stop the RDS works.
Harish Rao requested Patil to neglect AP Government's contention and cooperate with Telangana Government in completing the RDS works.
