Centre will resolve HC bifurcation row: Dattatraya

Hyderabad, July 2 (INN): Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatraya said that the Central Government was firm on resolving the High Court bifurcation crisis at the earliest.

Dattatraya, along with Bar Council Chairman A. Narsimha Reddy, called on Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan on Saturday.

Addressing a press conference later, Dattatraya said that he he has taken up the matter to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Union Law Minister Sadananda Gowda few days ago. "They immediately responded to our request and taken the matter to the notice of Chief Justice of India. The Chief Justice of India, in turn spoke to the Chief Justice of High court of Judicature at Hyderabad for the states of A.P. & Telangana to find out solution to the crisis. It was sufficiently laid emphasis that due to option policy for judicial officials, Telangana officers will be put to irreparable loss. The Union Law Minister assured that the problem of division of High Court will be resolved without any bias and as per procedure of law at the earliest. He has made a clear statement in the Parliament that the High Court will be divided as per the A.P. Reorganisation Act," he said.

Dattatraya sought the intervention of the Governor in seeking solution to the matter. He clarified that there was no failure of Central Government since the Central Government acted in swift manner upon his representation. "What all the blame that is passed on, is on account of politics only and to cover up their failures. There is no role of Govt of India in the option process of judicial officers and the Chief Ministers of AP and Telangana should resolve the crisis amicably and through mutual discussions immediately," he said.

Responding to the queries, the Union Minister reiterated that the Central Government was always interested in peaceful and quick solution to the problem of Division of High Court for the two states. He also assured that he would once again meet Rajnath Singh to intervene and find the way for initiating mutual discussion between the two Chief Ministers.

Dattatraya has condemned the attack on BJP leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy for political reasons. Under the process of democracy every citizen has his right to express his solution to the problems of the people, any resentment has to be expressed in peaceful manner and not through violent means, vandalizing the property and creating disturbances. He condemned the process of fear tactics adopted by TRS activists on the matters of the people.

He expressed his sorrowness and concerns on the death of the innocent people on the roads of Hyderabad in this rainy season in the last one week due to negligence on the part of different government agencies like Water Works, Municipal Corporation, Electricity Dept and Roads & Buildings Dept and urged Municipal Administration Minister K. Tarakarama Rao to cause enquiry into the negligent part leading to death of the innocents, fix up responsibility, extend financial relief as compensation to the families of the victims. He urged immediate comprehensive solution in a coordinated manner by GHMC., R&B, TSSPDCL and HMWS&S.Board to prevent the recurrence of such unfortunate incidents in the rainy season.
