Judicial officials requests CJI intervention Hyderabad, July 3 (INN): Representatives of Telangana judicial officials met Chief Justice of India Justice TS Thakur in New Delhi on Sunday and appealed him to speed up the division of the High Court and ensure justice is done to the judicial officials of Telangana in appointment of judges in subordinate courts in the state.
A delegation of the judicial officials from Telangana met the CJI at his residence and brought to his notice various issues pertaining to the ongoing stir for the division of the High Court.
Speaking to the media persons, the delegation members said that they had demanded the CJI to constitute a committee to look into the appointments of judges, in accordance with the AP State Reorganization Act. They said that the CJI had assured to discuss the issue with the Union Law Minister and would try to resolve the issue at the earliest.
The CJI had also advised the delegation to end the stir and resume service. The delegation members promised to do so after convening a meeting with judicial officials at Hyderabad very soon.
