SC gives notices to Mathiah, ACB Hyderabad, July 22 (INN): The Supreme Court on Friday agreed to reopen the case against Jerusalem Mathiah, accused in the 'Cash for Vote' case that set the two Telugu states at loggerheads.
Mathiah was the one who allegedly brokered a deal between the nominated TRS MLA Stephenson and Telugu Desam leaders. Mathiah took shelter in AP since the issue broke out and surfaced only after the Hyderabad High Court granted him bail. The Supreme Court issued notices to Mathiah and the Telangana ACB, which pursued the case. The court told them to respond within four weeks.
