Pushkaralu gets underway
Basara, July 31 (INN): Vishwayogi Vishwamji Maharaj inaugurated Godavari Anthya Pushkaralu here on Sunday in Godavari river.
Government Whip Koppula Eshwar, who had a bath in the Godavari along with his spouse, said that the government made arrangements for 25 lakh devotees. Endowments Commissioner D Rajeshwar said the devotees were reaching the Godavari to have a holy bath in Godavari river.
At Bhadrachalam, Anthya Pushkaralu started on a grand note today. Special arrangements were made at Sri Seetharamachandra Swamy temple and offered special abhishekams in the early morning.
Priests performed pujas by taking Prachara Murthulu, Sri Padhukalu, Chakraperumallu to the Godavari from temple amidst the mangala vaidyams. Godavari Pushkaralu were main among 13 Nadhi Pushkaralu/ sea fetes across the nation.
