TD MPs protest in Parliament Complex
Hyderabad, Aug 1 (INN): TD lawmakers staged a dharna at the Gandhi statue in the Parliament Complex on Monday in protest against the denial of Special Category Status (SCS) for Andhra Pradesh.
The TDP MPs in the morning met at their party office and decided to keep their fight for achieving special status to the state by using all sorts of means.
Union Aviation Minister P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju also participated in the protest and said that SCS was a justified demand of the state. Gunture MP lashed Jayadev out at Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley accusing him of keeping mum on such a contentious issue. Rammohan Naidu told the media that it was strange that the Centre was treating the issue in a callous manner and added that the behavior of the BJP has hurt the sentiments of the people of AP.
Rajya Sabhna member CM Ramesh reiterated that the party will agitate till the issue of SCS gets a permanent solution.
