VHR slams Governor for 'inaction' Hyderabad, Aug 3 (INN): Congress senior leader and former MP V. Hanumantha Rao on Wednesday said that people of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh could not expect justice from Govenor E.S.L. Narasimhan.
Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan here, VHR accused the Governor of inaction on several important issues. He alleged that the Governor did not act on complaints of demolition of Mahatma Gandhi's statue, Special Status for Andhra Pradesh or irregularities in conduct of Pushkaralu. Similarly, he alleged that the Governor remained a mute spectator to the irregularities in Telangana's irrigation projects and even the leakage of Eamcet-2 question paper.
VHR alleged that all the representations being made to the Governor at Raj Bhavan were being thrown into the dustbin. He said instead of acting as the Constitutional Head of the State, Narasiman was behaving like an agent of Chief Ministers K. Chandrashekar Rao and N. Chandrababu Naidu.
On being pointed out that the Congress delegation made a representation to the Governor on Eamcet-2 and Mallanna Sagar issue on Tuesday, VHR said he did not join the delegation as he had lost faith in the Governor
