Naidu mortgaged self respect of Telugus: YSRCP
Hyderabad, Aug 6 (INN): YSR Congress MLA Bhumana Karunakar Reddy lashed out at Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu accusing him of mortgaging the self-respect of the people of the state by stating that Naidu had claimed that his visit to New Delhi was to invite dignitaries to the state for the Krishna Pushkaralu and that the visit was not to discuss the Special Category Status issue with the Centre.
Addressing the reporters here on Saturday, Karunakar Reddy held Chandrababu Naidu squarely responsible for the state being denied SCS. It is Naidu who is more responsible for the fiasco as he did not show any interest to pressurize the Centre to grant special status to the State, he said.
The YSRCP MLA said that the TDP stand was clear from the very beginning of the session that they were not at all interested in taking up the issue and this was evident from the fact that the TD members did not show any interest in taking up the SCS issue more vigorously inside and outside of the Parliament.
