TN governor praises Haritha Haram Karimnagar, Aug 11 (INN): Tamil Nadu Governor K. Rosaiah praised the TS government's green drive Haritha Haram saying that it would provide long term solution to various issues like climate change and would promote greenery in the state.
Speaking to media persons after taking part in Haritha Haram at Fertilizer city in Ramagundam here on Thursday, Rosaiah urged the people from all walks of life to participate in the green drive aimed at increasing the green cover to 33 per cent in the state.
Earlier Rosaiah participated in a programme at Vysa Bhavan where he unveiled Mahatma Gandhi statue. The TN governor also unveiled former President APJ Abdul Kalam statue at Addakuntapalli in Godavarikhani.
Finance Minister E Rajendar, Nizamabad MLA Ganesh Gupta, Ramagundam MLA and RTC chairman S Satyanarayana, Ramagundam mayor K. Laxminarayana and others were present.
