CS reviews arrangements for I-Day fete Hyderabad, Aug 11 (INN): Telangana Chief Secretary Dr. Rajiv Sharma on Thursday reviewed the arrangements for Independence Day celebrations on August 15 at historic Golconda Fort.
Accompanied with the senior officials, Rajiv Sharma visited the Golconda Fort and asked the officials of various departments to work in tandem. He directed them to make fool-proof security arrangements. He said the official function would be attended by ministers, elected representatives, freedom fighters, students and the common people. Therefore, he said elaborate arrangements should be made to ensure that the attendees do not face any inconvenience.
The Chief Secretary also directed the GHMC officials to arrange mobile toilets and dustbins at the venue. He said uninterrupted power supply, drinking water and an ambulance should be ensured. He said nearly 5,000 passes would be issued this year.
Municipal Administration & Urban Development Department Principal Secretary Sunil Sharma, Protocol Secretary Aadhar Sinha, GHMC Commissioner Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy, I&PR Commissioner Naveen Mittal and senior police officials including Anjani Kumar, Gautam Sawang and Mahesh Bhagwat were also present.
