SIT registers 62 cases against Nayeem gang
Hyderabad, Sept 2 (INN): The Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Friday informed that so far 62 cases were registered against slained gangster Nayeem and his gang members across Telangana State.
During the process of investigation of cases against Nayeem gang, the SIT officers arrested the 10 accused persons. They include two arrests made by Korutla police of Karimnagar district and Bhongir Police of Nalgonda District.
The arrested accused are: Md. Ahmed Khan @ Asif Khan, Chinnabathini Benjamin, Kasani Indrasena, Gummadelli Mallesh, Kanukuntla Srikanth @ Kondal, Ravula Suresh, Gaddam Jangaiah, Rakala Srinivas, Sandela Praveen Kumar and Mohd. Younus, age; 46 years, R/o Sanjeeva Nagar, Bhongir town
According to police except for Asif Khan, the other accused persons were associates of Nayeem along with Pasham Srinu and others involved in 7 cases of Kidnap and Armed Extortions, Forcibly registration of land and plots in Bhongir Town.
Efforts are being continued to arrest the remaining gang members of Nayeem, the SIT said.
