YCP demands Railway zone at Vizag Visakhapatnam, Sept 7 (INN): YSR Congress Party on Wednesday demanded that the State Government establish railway zone in Visakhapatnam and warned that they would protest if Vijayawada was made the railway zone.
YSRCP leader G Amarnath told media persons that the BJP and TD leaders were hinting that the railway zone would be established in Vijayawada and said that this was against the wishes of the people of Visakhapatnam. He said that the party had undertaken five-day hunger strike in the past demanding railway zone at Visakhapatnam.
Amarnath said that Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu, during the Yoga Day celebrations at Vizag, had promised that the Railway Zone would be established in Vizag and demanded that the Central Government keep its word.
