Metro bus services launched in Hanamkonda Warangal, Sept 7 (INN): The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) on Wednesday launched the metro bus services in Hanamkonda, the neighbouring city of Warangal. Deputy CM Kadiam Srihari and Minister for Transport Mahendar Reddy were present.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy CM said that the State Government was initiating numerous steps to strengthen the RTC and provide efficient transportation system in the state.
Transport Minister Mahendar Reddy said that RTC procured 24 metro buses with a cost of Rs 9 crore. He said that the government will procure 1,391 buses with a cost of Rs 350 crore and 236 mini-buses by spending Rs 45 crore. The said buses will be added to the RTC fleet soon, the minister said.
