Denial of SCS is TD's biggest failure: Jagan Hyderabad, Sept 9 (INN): Opposition leader in AP and YSR Congress chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday said that the Centre's refusal to accord special status to Andhra Pradesh was the biggest failure of the TD government.
Speaking to media persons on the Assembly premises, YSR chief said that the manner in which Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitely announced about the Centre's decision on special status to AP showed how serious the BJP and TD were with regard to the SCS issue.
Jagan took potshots at the BJP and TD saying that at mid-night Arung Jaitely announces that the Centre would not accord SCS to AP but would extend financial aid to the state and then TD chief thanks the Centre for supporting AP through a mid-night press conference. He alleged that there was nothing new in the Centre's announcement of financial assistance to the state and added that Chandrababu Naidu failed to press for his demand for SCS despite being part of the NDA alliance at the Centre. He appealed the people to take part in state-wide bandh on Saturday against the Centre's refusal to accord special status to AP.
