CM keen on administration from Amaravati Vijayawada, Sept 10 (INN): Andhra Pradesh Government has decided to carry out administration from temporary secretariat complex at Velagapudi in State's new capital Amaravati.
Over the direction of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu several ministers opened their offices and started functioning from the new secretariat. The Chief Minister also made it clear during the present assembly session at Hyderabad that it was the last session in Hyderabad and the next assembly session will be held in new capital. The state government is planning to complete the construction of new assembly hall by December end.
Taking a lead, Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu inaugurated his office in new secretariat complex recently and conducted series of review meetings for three days. He said that the administration should be within the reach of people. Several other ministers including Minister for water Resources, Forests, Information and Public Relations, Forests, Transport, Agriculture, Women and Child welfare, BC Welfare, Excise, Medical and Health, Municipal Administration and Labour started their offices in new secretariat complex. Deputy Chief Minister Nimmakayala Chinarajappa inaugurated his office new secretariat recently. He said that Home ministry would start functioning from the secretariat complex.
It may be noted that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu also directed the ministers to start functioning from new secretariat without any delay. The government is planning to complete the works of temporary secretary on a war footing. The farmers who offered their lands for the capital development feel that if the total administration shift to the secretariat complex development of the capital region would pick up.
