CPI welcomes Pawan's intention Nalgonda, Sept 11 (INN): CPI national secretary K Narayana on Sunday welcomed the statement of Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan that he would contest the next elections.
Narayana was speaking after flagging of bus yatra as part of the Telangana armed Struggle anniversary celebrations by the party at Yadagirigutta in Nalgonda district. The CPI leader alleged that Union Minister was trying to evade the responsibility of granting special status to AP through misleading statements. He said that Venkaiah Naidu on several occasions said that he would ensure that AP gets special status at least for ten years. He alleged that the BJP leaders do not stand on their promises.
The CPI leader demanded the state government to hand over the case of slain gangster Nayeem to CBI to ensure fair probe and bring all the guilty to book.
