CPI demands Venkaiah's resignation Guntur, Sept 18 (INN): CPI National Secretary Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy on Sunday demanded the resignation of Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu and advised him to participate in the movement demanding special category status to AP.
Speaking to media persons here, Sudhakar Reddy lashed out at the Centre for going back on the promise of special status to AP. He said that the UPA Government's promise of special status to AP on the floor of the Parliament was government's assurance and not that of a party. He alleged that both the TD and the BJP cheated the people on the SCS issue.
Sudhakar Reddy opined that Venkaiah Naidu and Chandrababu can't get special status to state as Modi was in no mood to grant the same to AP.
