Jaipal Reddy lashes out at Undavalli Hyderabad, Sept 21 (INN): Former Union Minister S. Jaipal Reddy on Wednesday lashed out at former MP Undavalli Arun saying that his book on division of Andhra Pradesh was full of lies and lacked any truth.
Speaking to the media persons at Gandhi Bhavan along with other party leaders, Jaipal Reddy said Undavalli's book 'Vibhajana Katha' as a 'Kattu Katha' or a fabricated story.
Recently Undavalli released his book 'Vibhajana Katha' describing various events of state bifurcation. He criticized many Telangana including Jaipal Reddy.
Jaipal Reddy alleged that Undavalli wrote lies pertaining to the discussion that were held at Speaker's Chamber during AP Reogranisation Bill introduction in the Parliament. He said that the opposition leader Sushma Swaraj assured that the BJP would extend support to the Telangana Bill. The Bill was passed in the Parliament as per rules and regulations, he said.
The former union minister said that he did not direct anyone to stop the live proceedings of the the House and added that telecast was stopped due to pepper spray attack carried out by MP Lagadapati Rajagopal.
Jaipal Reddy suggested Undavalli to write the book as a spectator and questioned Undavalli as to how could write the book imagining the things. 'The Bill was passed in the Lok Sabha as per Constitution and Rules. We will win the case in Supreme Court. The case is still pending in the Supreme Court', he said.
AICC Secretary Madhu Yashki Goud, ex-MP Suresh Shetkar were among those present during the press conference.
