KCR directs officials to be extra-cautious Hyderabad, Sept 22 (INN): Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has directed the officials to be extra cautious in view of heavy rains across the Telangana State, especially Hyderabad.
The Chief Minister spoke to GHMC Commissioner Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy over phone from New Delhi on Thursday and asked him to take necessary precautions. He said as per the forecast, heavy to very heavy rains are likely to occur during the next 2-3 days. Therefore, he said that the GHMC should be on alert to handle any situation and take steps to prevent any untoward incidents.
KCR said that if need arises, the services of the Army, National Disaster Management Authority and Police may be taken for rescue operations on priority basis.
The Chief Minister has been continuously monitoring the situation and is constant touch with the senior officials of all line departments.
