Jagan for Women, Youth Empowerment

Repalle/Chilakaruipeta/ Tiruvuru, March 24: Assuring social, economic and financial empowerment to women of the state, financial aid to farmers and employment opportunities to youth, YSR Congress President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has affirmed that 'I am with you'.

Addressing a series of public meetings, packed to the capacity with enthusiastic crowds of all age groups, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said, 'do not get carried away by the short term gains being shown by Chandrababu Naidu but have a look at what is ahead of you which is social, economic and financial empowerment under Navaratnas.

There is neither law nor order in the state as a woman officer was assaulted by ruling party MLA and an innocent girl has committed suicide in hostel but no action had taken place. When our government comes to power, law and order and women protection will be on a top priority to bring social empowerment among the women.

The conspiracy theory has reached climax with the murder of my uncle YS Vivekananda Reddy and Chandrababu Naidu trying to shift the blame on our family members and tom-tom it though his friendly media.

He has of late promoted and financed a petty party which has identical colours of our Party and has joined hands with an actor who could not dare contest in alliance with TDP as he knows well that TDP is a sinking boat and he too will drown into oblivion in the election. The purpose is only to divide the anti-incumbency votes and playing the card of social groups which will not work in this charged up atmosphere which is overwhelming seeking a change, he said.

Women who have a major say in the economy will be given financial and economic empowerment with zero percent interest loans and all loans till elections will be waived and given to them directly in four instalments. This apart all women in the age group of 45-60 groups belonging to marginalised sections of society will be given Rs 75,000 in four years.

For sending two children to school, Rs 15,000 would be deposited into the mother's bank account and fees reimbursement would be effectively implemented besides providing scholarships and mess charges to the students, he said.

He assured the farmers that Jalayaganam will be taken up and complete all the irrigation projects and farmers would be given advance loans before the sowing season and MSP would be announced in advance beside setting Market Stabilisation Fund and Natural Calamities Relief Fund.

Agriculture and aquaculture have been taken a back seat during Chandrababu Naidu governance and he has turned as the captain of middlemen by buying produce at very low rates and making huge profits by selling them through retail outlets, he said.

Whenever TDP come to power Chandrababu family owned Heritage Foods will soar into huge profits and the cooperative sector would be neglected. This time around we will provide subsidy for milk procurement in cooperative sector, he said.

On the housing front, Chandrababu Naidu has taken up the scheme to benefit his select few contractors by awarding at double the price and the beneficiaries have to pay EMI for over 20 years. When our government comes to power, we will waive all the loans immediately.

We will work for Special Category Status (SCS) which will bring in investments and jobs and we will support the Party in the Centre that assures us SCS for which we need to win all the 25 MP seats, he said.

When industries come, jobs can be created and we will bring in legislation to provide 75% reservations to locals besides setting up of skill development centres and include job oriented courses in the academic courses.

Administration will be brought to your doorsteps through Village Secretariats and volunteers will be appointed for every 50 houses to work in villages and implement all schemes like Navaratnas and deliver goods within 72 hours. The volunteers will be paid an honorarium of Rs 5,000 per month, he said.

We will be giving contracts to unemployed youth and also fund them to enable them to get economic freedom.

With elections round the corner, Chandrababu Naidu will come with bag full of money and lure the voters but use your discretion and think of long term benefits, he said.

The YSR Congress President held meetings in Guntur and Krishna districts with overwhelming crowds cheering to his speech.
