YSRC denies stoking up violence HYDERABAD: The YSRC or its president Jagan Mohan Reddy had no intention to turn the Seemandhra agitation violent, party spokesperson K Roja has said.
Speaking to reporters here on Sunday, Roja said the people of Vizianagaram are angry with PCC chief Botcha Satyanarayana for not protecting the interests of the region.
Asked why violence erupted after Jagan Mohan Reddy was released on bail and got involved in the Samaikyandhra movement, which has been peaceful for over 60 days, Roja said: 'We are not rowdies. YSRC follows Gandhian path. We have no habit of resorting to violent protests.'
'What benefit will YSRC derive by attacking Botcha Satyanarayana's house,' Roja wondered. She blamed the police for what had happened.
Roja said both Congress and TDP would be routed in the next elections by YSRC as they failed to protect the interests of Seemandhra. TDP and Congress are colluding for mutual benefit in the elections, she alleged.
