Anantapur MP to join YSRC HYDERABAD: More or less expressing his readiness to board YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's ship, Congress MP from Anantapur, Ananta Venkatarami Reddy, on Wednesday called on the YSRC boss, who has been on fast here in protest against the proposed bifurcation of the state and expressed his solidarity with him. Venkatarami Reddy visited Jagan at his hunger strike camp at his Lotus Pond residence here on Wednesday.
Venkatarami Reddy, who is a staunch integrationist, has been unhappy with the Congress party high command over the way it was thrusting division on the state. His visit is considered a prelude to his joining the YSRC formally sooner than later.
The Ananatpur MP inquired about Jagan Mohan Reddy's health which has been deteriorating as the fast entered fifth day on Wednesday. Congress MLA from Jammalamadugu in Kadapa district, Adinarayana Reddy, also joined the YSRC on Wednesday.
Former IAS officer Thota Chandrasekhar, who unsuccessfully contested the Lok Sabha seat from Guntur in 2009 on PRP ticket, too took the membership of the party after meeting Jagan here.
In fact, it has been already reported that Ananta Venkatrami Reddy and Chandrasekhar would join the YSRC. Former minister P Viswaroop also called on Jagan at his hunger strike camp on Wednesday and announced that he would join the party on Oct 18.
