Ancient mandapam surfaces at Srisailam
Srisailam: An old mandapam surfaced near the Sahasralingeswara Swamy temple in Srisailam on Friday when, under the aegis of the temple authorities, digging took place to build a shed for the convenience of devotees.
The Temple Executive Officer Chandrasekhar Azad, in consultation with the police, decided to excavate the place further to unearth the entire ancient complex. As things stand, the structure that surfaced appears to be part of a Dhyana Mandiram.
