Botcha doubtful of Telangana before 2014 polls VIZIANAGARAM: Pradesh Congress Committee president Botcha Satyanarayana said that the process of formation of Telangana state might not be possible before the 2014 general elections. Botcha added that he is also wishing that T-state formation should not succeed before the elections.
However, his latest comments on the situation seemed to have been inspired by flashbacks of the attacks on his property by angry mobs in his home town, and the raw situation that is still prevalent in Vizianagaram.
Botcha, who arrived at his hometown Monday after a long gap, amidst heavy security, claimed to the media that he has already appealed the MPs, Union ministers, MLAs and MLCs to quit from their posts before the CWC resolution was passed and sent to the Union Cabinet. However, no leader took it seriously and thought it was not the correct time to quit, he added.
However, the minister stated that there was a high need to oppose the formation of Telangana state in the legislative assembly by the MLAs and ministers of Seemandhra, and declared that the Samaikyandhra MLAs and ministers should utilise the chance in the Assembly to express their opinion in the House.
