Purandeswari playing 'dirty politics' Hyderabad: Condemning Union minister D Purandeswari's remarks on the issue of State bifurcation, TDP leaders alleged that the Daggupati family had indulged in hurting the sentiments of Seemandhra people just for getting a Rajya Sabha seat.
Speaking to the media in Guntur, party MP Modugula Venugopal Reddy said, 'We will show our strength and prowess demanding united State in the winter session of Parliament.
In Vijayawada, the Seemandhra JAC and TDP MLA Devineni Uma Maheshwar Rao took exception to the Union minister holding parleys with various sections of the people and leaders of the striking employees in an attempt to dilute the ongoing agitation in the region for keeping the State united.
Addressing a press conference, Uma Maheshwar Rao lashed out at Purandeswari of back-stabbing the people of Seemandhra by trying to 'brainwash' the striking employees to call off their agitation. However, the people of the region would not be swayed by the attempts of the Union minister and her husband, he quipped.
He alleged that she was playing 'dirty politics' to nurture her ambition of becoming the Chief Minister of Seemandhra in the event of bifurcation of the State.
Demanding Purandeswari to reveal the blue print handed over to her by the PM to scuttle the ongoing agitation, he charged that she was day-dreaming to become chief minister of Seemandhra.
