Seemandhra Advocates hold dharna in Delhi New Delhi, Oct 18 (INN): The Seemandhra Advocates JAC on Friday demanded that the Congress-led UPA Government withdraw its decision to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh.
Participating in a dharna at Janta Mantar here, the JAC leaders said that the decision to divide the State to carve out Telangana was not in the interest of any region of Andhra Pradesh.
They said that the division was aimed at reaping political benefits and it would harm the Telugu people in the longer run. They said that the Centre should stop the process of Telangana formation and completely drop the proposal to bifurcate the State.
The JAC leaders also decided to seek support from other national parties in keeping the State united. They also appealed to the leaders of all political parties in the State to unite for the cause of Samaikhyandhra.
