Naidu slams Congress for corruption HYDERABAD: With 14 million Indians living in conditons of modern day slavery was the gift Congress party had given to the people of the country after 66 years of independence, TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu has said.
Holding the Congress party and its corruption as the root cause for underdevelopment of the country, Naidu said the Congress was indulging in scam after scam, with Prime Minister himself being involved in corruption as alleged by former coal secretary PC Parakh in coalgate case, indicating that the arty had rendered the country weak.
Speaking to mediapersons here on Friday, he asked who was responsible for the Rs 1.86 lakh crore coal scam and allocation of 106 coal blocks between 2005-2010 without auctions.
'Now that the CBI and apex court are investigating the case, the Congress leaders have the audacity to tell the Supreme Court that important files signed by the Prime Minister went missing,' he said.
