TJAC wants Hyderabad as joint capital for 3 years Hyderabad: The Telangana political JAC has urged the Group of Ministers to consider Hyderabad as 'common' capital only for three years, instead of the proposed 10 years.
The TJAC mailed a detailed 125-page document to the GoM late on Friday covering issues such as water, employment and Hyderabad, which were deliberated over the last two days. The discussions, which started at 10 am carried on till 9 pm.
The T-JAC wanted the ministers to consider Hyderabad as a capital only for Telangana region and as a common capital for both the regions only for a period of three years. The JAC was of the opinion that the difference would increase among the people by making Hyderabad a joint capital for a period of 10 years.
The issue of administration also came up during the discussion of JAC leaders. Many leaders wanted the administration to be restricted to a particular place in the city such as Ramoji film city, which will ensure that there is no law and order problem and it would also be convenient for people of Seemandhra to travel in and out.
The JAC wanted the government to set up a monitoring authority for sharing of water for the regions. The JAC also demanded the ministers for a change in the design of Polavaram dam.
