Only draft bill will be referred to Assembly Hyderabad: Although integrationists were pinning their hopes that Telangana resolution would be referred to the State Assembly on two occasions, the mood of the Congress high command seems to be otherwise.
Only the draft bill on carving out a new State would be sent to the Assembly. This was the impression the Telangana JAC delegation comprising of Prof Kodandaram, V Srinivas Goud, C Vittal, P Madhusudhan Reddy got after a meeting they had with the former PCC chief D Srinivas. Srinivas, it is learnt, told the JAC leaders that the President, Speaker and the Governor will have a greater role to play in the matter.
