Errabelli sought action against Payyavula HYDERABAD: Following TDP MLA from Seemandhra Payyavula Kesav's petition in the Supreme Court challenging the Centre's decision to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh, a storm seems to be brewing in the TDP.
Party leaders from Telangana have stepped up attack on their Seemandhra counterparts alleging that some of these leaders were trying to stall the process of division by approaching courts.
TDP Telangana Forum convener Errabelli Dayakar Rao met party boss N Chandrababu Naidu and complained against Kesav. According to sources, Dayakar Rao demanded disciplinary action against the MLA. After meeting the TDP chief, Dayakar Rao told the media that Naidu had assured him that he would summon Kesav for an explanation.
'Since our party has taken a decision to support statehood to Telangana, Kesav's petition goes against the party's line,' Rao said. Earlier, party MLA K Dayakar Reddy too found fault with Kesav.
'If the Seemandhra leaders of our party approach the apex court to prevent bifurcation of the state, then we will definitely oppose it and ask our party boss to initiate disciplinary action against such leaders,' he said.
