Chiranjeevi faced the ire of pro-united Andhra Pradesh students during his visit to the flood affected areas of Srikakulam district here on Tuesday.
While Chiranjeevi was at the GMR Varalakshmi Care Hospital in Rajam town, a group of students of GMR IT College pelted stones on his car while raising Samaikhyandhra slogans.
They demanded that Chiranjeevi resign from his post before visiting the flood affected areas. However, the local police immediately swung action and prevented them from blocking the minister's convoy. To avoid further trouble, Chiranjeevi left the venue immediately.
Situation turned tense after a few students even pelted stones at the minister's car. Some even raised 'Chiranjeevi go back' slogans. The police came to his rescue and gave him a quit exit from the place.
