Man hacks wife, daughter to death
Betmacherla: In a heinous act a man killed his wife and ten-month-old daughter suspecting her fidelity on Monday night. DSP Tirumaleswar Reddy told newsmen here that Dastagiri of Jonnagiri in the district married Suvarna of Gummakonda five years back.
For the last three years both have been working in the Gafoor Stone Polishing Factory here. There have been frequent altercations between the couple and parents of Suvarna pacified her to stay with her husband.
After a similar altercation on Monday night, Dastagiri beat his wife Suvarna and 10 month-old daughter Kumari to death and tried to burn the bodies dousing them with kerosene.
The neighbours informed the police. The DSP said that Dastagiri had taken the extreme step suspecting her fidelity. A case has been registered and investigation is on.
