Missing girl from Hyd found in Visakhapatnam Visakhapatnam: A 14 year-old girl Akula Sravani of Krishnagar area in Hyderabad who went missing from Wednesday evening, was traced here on Thursday noon by the Government Railway Police along with her friend Pinki alias Jershi, 20, of the same area.
According to the police, Sravani and Pinki are close friends. While the former is an eighth class stu dent in a school in Krishnanagar, the latter is working as a receptionist in the HUDA's Maitri Vanam in Ameerpet.
Pinki who has been aspiring to become a TV anchor or junior artist, was lured by a classified advertise ment for junior artists in Vizag. She decided to go to Vizag.
Meanwhile, her friend Sravani also urged her to take her to Vizag. Though Pinki persuaded her not to come without taking the prior permission of her parents, Sravani ignored her advice and both left Hyderabad to Vizag by the Nanded-Visakhapatnam special express train on Wednesday.
As Sravani did not return from school even in the night, her father Narendar lodged a complaint with the Banjara Hills police who in turn alerted the GRP of all main stations.
The alert Railway police team headed by Inspector A Parthasaradhi took the duo into custody soon after they alighted from the special train and elicited details from them.
The information was passed on to the parents of Sravani who were reaching Vizag tonight and the police will hand over the girl to them. Police said it was not a case of kidnap.
