The Rally of Jodhpur, the third of the 7 legs will start on Saturday after the recent heavy rains forced the organisers to cut short a stage and run a reduced distance of about 70 kms of special stage route. Two stages, named Deer and Camel, will run four times each on Saturday and the spectator friendly Super Special Stage (SSS) will be held at Chami Polo Ground on Sunday morning at 9 am.
All the drivers would like to do the full distance and get full points. But unfortunately rains played havoc and the organisers are doing their best to retrieve whatever possible. From our side we will give our best and win this rally to add points to the team, said Vikram Mathias, the leader in the top class 2000cc N+, who will be riding a Mitsubishi Cedia.
Red Rooster Racing supremo, Dinesh Reddy, said: 'We have made some improvements to the tyres and the conditions in Rajastan after the rains demand a lot on both the car and the tyres. But my boys are raring to go with the improved tyres are bound to be beat the tough terrain and the competition.'
