Harbhajans blitzkrieg a revelation: Dravid Hyderabad, Nov 14 (INN): Indian batsman Rahul Dravid on Sunday stated that India team has taken a significant lead over New Zealand in the second cricket Test in Hyderabad due to Harbhajan Singh fairytale run with the bat and S Sreesanths support at the other end of the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium at Uppal.
Talking to media persons after the end of the days play, Dravid said that Harbhajan Singh was a revelation. The bowler is enjoying a dream run with the bat. His unbeaten 85 off 82 runs follows his maiden Test century in the First Test. Harbhajans unbroken 69-run last-wicket partnership with S Sreesanth has helped the hosts finish the day at a commanding 436 for nine, a lead of 86 runs.
Harbhajan Singh's blistering knock was laced with seven boundaries and five massive sixes. His onslaught helped India to rack up 113 runs in the final session. Dravid said that the pitch has favoured the batsmen so far, enabling them to score runs freely and boosted the confidence of Indian team members.
Speaking separately, Ross Taylor said We have not expected that Harbhajan and Sreesanth play like this in the last-wicket partnership and lead by 86 runs.
However, Taylor expressed confidence in his team and said that he still hoped to perform well and win the Test.
