Former Olympian presents award of Rs 10 lakh
Hyderabad, Dec 3 (INN): The Sahara India Pariwar on Friday felicitated former prominent football player and Olympian SHH Hamid for his contribution to the sport at a ceremony on Friday. Mr SHH Hamid had represented the country in the 1960 Olympic Games. Sahara India Pariwar Hyderabad Area Manager GS Singh presented a Demand Draft of Rs Ten Lakhs to Mr Hamid in recognition of his services to the sport.
Mr Singh said that the cash award was aimed at carrying forward the tradition of Sahara to recognise the services of individuals who make the country proud. The simple yet impressive ceremony was held at Sahara Manzil in Saifabad. Incidentally, Mr Hamid was earlier given a cash award of Rs five lakh.
