Hyderabad, Sept 13 (INN): A rousing reception awaits Hyderabad's latest badminton sensation P V Sindhu when she arrives in the city on Wednesday. Tipped as the next Saina Nehwal, Sindhu has had an outstanding year, particularly on the international circuit. Along the way, she has notched up several first for an Indian.
Continuing with her good form that won the Yonex Sunrise Vietnam Grand Prix Open and Singapore International Series, Sindhu triumphed at the Isle of Man and crowned herself with the Youth Common Wealth Games 2011 title on Sunday.
The Intermediate second year student is the daughter of the Arjuna award winner in Volleyball, P V Ramana and is a resident-trainee of Pullela Gopi Chand Badminton Academy.
She is likely to be accorded a grand welcome by Gopi Chand and office-bearers of the Andhra Pradesh Badminton Association when she arrives at the International airport by noon.
