Srinivasan new BCCI chief MUMBAI: N Srinivasan officially replaced Shashank Manohar as the President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) at the Board's Annual General Meeting held in Mumbai on Monday.
In a shocking development, Team Kochi was suspended from the Indian Premier League due to non-payment of dues, however they have been given one week time to pay outstanding dues of 153 crore to BCCI, according to sources.
Meanwhile, Krishnamachari Srikkanth has been retained as the Chairman of Selectors and Mohinder Amarnath will join the selection committee from North Zone while selectors Raja Venkat, Narendra Hirwani & Surendra Bhave will stay on, sources added.
In a major development Rajiv Shukla has been appointed as the IPL Chairman. The other major appointments include Vilasrao Deshmukh as the Media Committee Chairman, Farukh Abdullah as the Marketing Committee Chairman, Jyotiradiya Scindia as Finance Committee Chairman while G Viswanath replaced Mohinder Amarnath in the Governing Council.
