Veteran cricketers felicitate Bedi
Hyderabad, Dec 9 (INN): Spin legend Bishan Singh Bedi was felicitated in a glorious manner at Boat Club late Thursday night. Hosted by the Veteran Cricketers Association of Hyderabad, it was function that was memorable to those present on the occasion.
Bedi had the crowds in a thrall with his flamboyant and gift for words that also gave indications of his excellent memory. Narrating several anecdotes, he said that he was in regular touch with P R Man Singh, the Secretary of the Association.
Recalling several memorable occasions of his playing days, Bedi particularly touched upon the turn of events during the India-Pakistan Test series. The topics ranged from General Zia-Ul-Haq, Sarfraz Nawaz to Imran Khan.
Bedi regretted that the experience that Man Singh possessed on cricketing matters was not being fully utilized by the present day administrators. Man Singh said he enjoyed his friendship with the spin-ace as they shared a good rapport on several issues.
