NCR Corp to set up HQ in Hyderabad Hyderabad May 21 (INN): A delegation of NCR Corporation on Saturday called on Minister for Information Technology and Communications Ponnala Lakshmaiah to discuss the modalities of setting up their operations in Hyderabad.
The US based NCR Corporation, a Fortune 500 company, is the largest manufacturer of self service technology such as Automatic Technology Machines products in the world.
With over 22,000 employees worldwide and a turnover of US $ 5 Billion, NCR is to expand its operations in India and consolidate the majority of software development, internal technology support and customer service operation in Andhra Pradesh.
NCR represented by Government Relations and Emerging Business Opportunities vice president Tim Heffernan, ISG Development and Realizations Services Head Phil Ventimiglia, senior partner Robe Walker and Government Relation officer Rosemont Seneca met Mr Lakshmaiah and discussed plans to set up its second World Head quarters in Hyderabad. The company's first head quarters are in Atlanta.
Mr Lakshmaiah made a comparative briefing to the visitors about the benefits of NCR setting up their Software R&D Centre in Hyderabad and assured full support to them to set up their operations.
The proposed centre would be employing 4800 persons with approximate annual salary bill of US Dollars 55 million. The proposed new facility requires roughly 650,000 square feet of built-up leased space in an SEZ.
