Canadian firm to set up Rs 2,500 cr polythene unit Hyderabad, June 16 (INN): Entrepreneurs from Canada are expected to visit Hyderabad in August this year and examine various options to set up a manufacturing unit for producing para-polythene material.
The unit, as envisaged by the Canadians, will bring in an investment of Rs 2500 crore to Andhra Pradesh. Handlooms and Textiles Minister P Shankar Rao, detailing media persons at the state Secretariat on Thursday, informed that the Canadian venture would create over three lakh jobs here, directly or indirectly.
The team from Canada is expected to arrive here in August to further explore the possibilities of setting up their manufacturing company.
The Minister, who was in Canada recently on an official visit, is understood to have given a presentation to them on the resources front apart from the infrastructure facilities which would be made available to their proposed unit.
Pasturised milk is packed in the see through polythene bags apart from various other products. The polythene sheets were in use in some countries to cover the crops during spring season. Polythene has a wide range of varieties and its usage is also said to be eco friendly in the routine life.
