ANR conferred with doctorate
Hyderabad: Veteran actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao was conferred with a Doctorate at the second convocation of GITAM University, Visakhapatnam, on Saturday. Besides Nageswara Rao, Dadi Janki, Varaprasad Reddy of Shantha Biotech, and Defence scientist VK Saraswat were also conferred honorary doctorates by GITAM University president MVVS Murthy.
ANR, in his address, has referred to the movement launched by social activist Anna Hazare and said that one could learn bad and good things by watching a movie. As the future belongs to youngsters, they should not encourage corruption in any way. In fact, a person offering bribe is a bigger culprit than the recipient,' he said.
