Sweta Basu not to take film offers on compassaionate grounds Sheta Basu Prasad, who was recently released from the rescue home, following her arrest in a prostitution act, has finally opened up and denied the charges made against her.
While thanking the court for setting her free from rescue home, Sweta broke her silence over the entire episode and even threatened to media houses which published malicious information about her without even verifying with her.
She gave an interview to a publication after getting released from the rescue home. She revealed some interesting things in the interview. She said that she didn't commit to the flesh trade. She went to that hotel to attend an award function. 'I went there for an award function. The event organizers have given me a hotel room. Unfortunately the police raided the hotel and arrested me, 'she said.
Soon after her arrest, a statement purportedly to be made by her was released on the media. The statement said that all the doors were closed and some people have encouraged her to get into prostitution to earn money.
Talking about the statement, Sweta said that it was all cooked up by a person as she was not allowed to speak to anyone, including her mother and father at the moment.
'While I was in the rescue home my grandfather passed away. That's one loss I'll have to live with all my life. I couldn't even be at the last rituals of him. Thanks to the reports in the media my grandfather breathed his last thinking I had actually made those awfully wrong statements. 'Sweta said.
Sweta however clarified that she doesn't want sympathy of any one. "I'll act in movies if I deemed fit for the roles offered to me. I don't want film opportunities based out of sympathy", she said.
