Lawrence gets anticipatory bail Choreographer turned director Raghava Lawrence finally heaved a sigh of relief. His anticipatory bail application has been accepted by a local court, though the court ordered him to appear before the Jubilee Hills Police Station for further proceedings before Wednesday, confides a source.
The producers of Prabhas-starrer Rebel had filed a complaint against Lawrence alleging that the director had promised to wrap up the shooting within the budget of Rs 22.50 crore.
In fact, both the parties had signed an agreement pledging that Lawrence would bear a portion of the production costs if crosses the estimated budget.
However, the film's expenses shot up to Rs 40 crore, causing huge losses for its producers and when Lawrence was asked to keep his promise, the director refused to pay the money and went on to threaten them.
As a result, cases have been booked against him in the Jubilee Hills police station and the case has now taken a legal route. Currently, Lawrence is working on Muni 3 and on an experimental film Oka Ticket Pai Rendu Cinemalu.
