Cheating case against Rajinikanth's wife Tamil superstar Rajinikanth starrer Kochadaiiyaan(Vikrama Simha in Telugu) is again in the news for wrong reasons. The film which hit the screens earlier this year failed to create the expected magic in the box office but it creating lots of headaches to Rajinikanth family.
A private ad agency(AD Bureau) lodged complaint against super star's wife Latha and producer Dr J Murali Manohar saying that they had cheated the firm to the tune of Rs 10 crore after entering into an agreement with them to give the distribution rights of the movie.
The complaint said that the release rights of Kochadaiiyaan was sold to that company (AD Bureau) by an agreement which was signed by Latha Rajinikanth and Manohar .But the movie was later sold to Eros International and complainant has sought police intervention in this issue.
'Though more than six months have gone by since the film's release, I haven't been paid the Rs.10.2 crores due to me. I request the police to take appropriate action against Latha and Manohar' said in the complainant.
'The director of Kochadaiyaan, Soundarya Rajinikanth Ashwin, has become CEO of Eros. The whole act has been cleverly orchestrated and it clearly indicates a white collar fraud owing to breach of contract and trust,' the complainant added.
Meanwhile Latha Rajinikanth condemned the reports and her spokesperson issued a press statement regarding the issue. In the statement, they mentioned that Latha Rajinikanth did not sign any papers for the deal and Ad Bureau is pulling her name in to the issue to threaten her status and to take money.
