Not many know the second face of the people, but here are some heart wrenching little known facts about Chakri! On a personal front Chakri was very caring and would go out of his way to help his technicians whenever they were in need.
He would be extra cautious about the safety of his female technicians, and in the absence of production vehicles, he would personally drop them home.
Not just that if he knew anybody needed any kind of help, he would be the first person to step up and pitch in. Most people are unaware that many a times Chakri would disburse payments for his team members even if he had not received budgeted amount from the producers.
It won't be wrong to credit Chakri for being the man behind bettering wages for technicians and bringing them on par with that in the Tamil film industry.
His love for the sparkling metallic gold jewellery and his palate for all kinds of cuisines and food earned him the tag of Tollywood's 'Bappi Lahari'.
Chakri, like many struggling artistes of filmdom, came from a humble background, a simple middle class family and we think may be this was the reason why he always encouraged Telugu people and local talent, instead of preferring northern imports like many others in the industry.
While he knocked on many studios, his early career included compositions for private albums. What is to be appreciated in him is that he knew he had a strong passion for music, though he was never trained, yet he managed to compose just as beautifully and sang melodiously.
He achieved all of this solely on his merit without having been backed by a Godfather. His record of scoring for 18 films in a single calendar year at a very young age has not been bettered by anyone till date. He was truly a versatile artiste, and, more importantly, a great human being. He was and will always be known for the people's person that he truly was!
