Celebrities pay tributes to Balachander The Indian film industry Tuesday plunged into a gloom following the death of legendary filmmaker K. Balachander.
Celebrities took to Twitter to mourn the death of Balachander. KB, as he was fondly called, died at a private hospital here due to urinary infection and age-related ailments.
Born on July 9th in 1930, K Balachander directed 101 Films in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi Film Industries. 'Neer Kumizhi' (1965) marks his directorial debut and 'Abaddam' was his last movie.
He won as many as 9 National awards apart from Dada Saheb Phalke and Padma Shri awards. Celebrities expressed their grief at the loss of a legendary figure on Twitter.
