Pawan-Venky starrer Gopala Gopala has hit the theaters worldwide on Saturday and got good reviews from critics. "Gopala Gopala" has received positive reviews from the critics and the audience alike. It has kicked off on a grand start in the AP/Nizam and reportedly minted around 9.19 crores.
However the film failed to surpass the Day 1 collections of Pawan's last movie Attarintiki Daaredi. The film which released in 2013 collected Rs. 10.75 crores on Day 1.

Meanwhile a case has been registered against Pawan Kalyan-Venkatesh starrer "Gopala Gopala" for hurting the religious sentiments of the Hindu community. One Raghunatha Rao Chakilam lodged a complaint with the Saifabad police against makers of the film on Saturday for allegedly portraying the community in an objectionable manner.
