Jagapati Babu as Mahesh Babu's dad
Jagapathi Babu was one of the most sought after romantic heroes of Tollywood once. With films like Legend and Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitham, he reinvented himself as an actor and went onto bag big projects in his kitty.
News is that Jagapathi Babu is set to play father to Mahesh Babu in his upcoming film Srimanthudu. That's not all, he will also be seen as a village head who always thrives for the welfare of his people.
Directed by Koratala Shiva, the film has Shruti Haasan as the leading lady. Mahesh will be acting as an NRI in this film and it is rumored that his role is loosely inspired on the story of his brother-in-law and politician Galla Jayadev.
Srimanthudu is one of the biggest films of Tollywood as Mahesh and Jagapathi Babu are coming together for the first time. The first look of the film will be released for Shivaratri and the movie is scheduled for May.
